Spatial Data Management
EMU Limited has a spatial data management infrastructure for the storage and retrieval of GIS data. This environment is built on an EMC² Clarion platform that can store up to 120TB of client data securely in our fire-protected data centre. All data held within the data centre is backed up on a nightly basis to tape and stored off site for disaster recovery purposes. Also, a ‘snapshot’ of all the virtual servers is taken each night so that the servers can be restored quickly and efficiently if required.
In addition, metadata can be created and supplied in standardised formats, such as FGDC, or bespoke to the client's needs.
