Emu has set up and maintains the largest network of telemetered wave rider bouys and met stations in the UK, for the Channel Coastal Observatory.

Our services include:

  • Acoustic measurements of directional waves, tides, suspended sediment loads, single point and profiled currents
  • ADCP transecting of suspended sediment load and currents
  • Profiling and point meausrement of physical and chemical parameters, eg conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, redox in conjuction with depth data
  • Pressure, radar, acoustic and heave based measurements of wave height
  • Directional wave data from surface following buoys and combined amplitude and current meausrements
  • Metereological data acquisition
  • Drogue tracking and dye tracing
  • Sediment transport studies including tracing
