ABOUT EMU
EMU History
EMU was established in 1997 following a management buy out of the Environmental Monitoring Unit from Southern Water plc (formerly Southern Science). Emu has continued to expand and now has three sites and its own survey vessels. The sites consist of a marine laboratory at Hayling Island, an oceanography centre and a head office at Durley, Southampton.
Personnel
Of our 60 personnel, approximately 45% are BSc, 35% are MSc and 20% are PhD and within each core discipline, individuals are drawn from a wide variety of complementary specialist backgrounds, enhancing the range and quality of our services. Emu has completed projects in over 40 countries worldwide and is always interested in considering applications from marine scientists, technical staff, marketing specialists and talented project managers.
