External Quality Control Schemes
EMU Limited laboratories participate in a number of external quality control schemes. We use data from these schemes to:
- Support our quality control procedures
- Monitor our performance against other laboratories
- Assess competence of our scientists
- Validate our procedures
- Provide clients with additional confidence in our test results
Data from external proficiency schemes are subject to review including trend and statistical analysis to ensure results fall within pre-defined criteria. Where results fall outside these criteria, planned investigations and corrective actions are undertaken to prevent non-conforming products reaching our clients.
Participation and monitoring of external proficiency data is audited as part of our BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and UKAS ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation.
