EMU laboratories have a purpose built facility enabling us to provide a broad range of analytical techniques to the highest quality.  Each specialist laboratory section is led by a senior technical specialist supported by a team of highly skilled and experienced staff with the capacity to cope with large contracts, short time frames and specific technical requirements to suit you. EMU has a fleet of vehicles and vessels (see link to vessels) to allow us to take and collect samples in-situ if required.   All the teams work closely with EMU survey sections to provide a comprehensive service for clients from inception to final report where required.

The laboratories services are designed to meet and exceed the requirements set by the regulatory bodies. Our UKAS Analytical Laboratory accreditation (See Quality Assurance) and participate in UKAS, BSi and NMBAQC schemes can assure the client the data produced is reliable and of a high quality.

EMU’s accredited laboratories (Benthic ID, Microbiology, Water Quality and Sediment testing facilities) aim to be friendly and approachable and are happy to talk over any queries or issues you may have. All contracts awarded to the laboratories independently are treated as confidential. Data and information is not made available to other companies or internal sections unless permission is given.
